Śrī Nāma Pracāra

Bhajana-gīta – 2

bhāva nā bhāva nā, mana, tumi ati duṣṭa
(viṣaya-viṣe ācha he)
(ripur baśe ācha he)

O mind, you have not thought about this! You have not thought about this! You are extremely wicked! (Oh, you are caught in the poison of sense enjoyment!) You are obsessed with lust, anger, greed, illusion, madness etc! (Oh, you are under the influence of these enemies!)

(asat-kathā bhāla lāge he)
(sarala ta’ ha’le nā he)
ghireche tomāre, bhāi, e sab ariṣṭa
(e sab ta’ śatru he)

You are attracted and thirsty for mundane news, bhukti and mukti! (Oh, how you like mundane discussions!) You are crushed by the desire for fame, politics and crooked behaviour etc! (Oh, you are not simple or straightforward!) O brother, you are completely surrounded by all this misfortune! (Oh, all these are indeed your enemies!)

e sab nā cheḍe’ kise pā’be rādhā-kṛṣṇa
(yatane chāḍa, chāḍa he)
sādhu-saṅga vinā āra kothā tava iṣṭa
(sādhu-saṅga kara, kara he)
vaiṣṇava-caraṇe maja, ghucibe aniṣṭa
(ek-bār bheve’ dekha he)

If you do not reject all these, how will you attain Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa? (Oh, try to give these up, give them up!) Without the association of sādhus, where will you find your true benefit? (Oh, take up, take up keep the association of sādhus!) Concentrate upon the feet of a Vaiṣṇava, and all problems will disappear! (Oh, think about this for once and watch!)
