Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura (1838–1914) is one of the foremost ācāryas in the disciplic succession of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, who dedicated his life to restoring and propagating the pure teachings of Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇavism. Though engaged as a magistrate in his worldly duties, he was a paramahaṁsa Vaiṣṇava, deeply absorbed in the service of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa. Through his unparalleled literary contributions – such as Jaiva Dharma, Hari-nāma Cintāmaṇi, Śrī Caitanya-śikṣāmṛta, and numerous devotional songs – he established the philosophical foundation for Kṛṣṇa-bhakti and in the modern age. He rediscovered the sacred birthplace of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu in Śrīdhāma Māyāpura and envisioned a worldwide mission to spread nāma-saṅkīrtana. His life and teachings continue to illuminate the path of pure devotion, guiding sincere seekers towards the lotus feet of Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga.
