Vastu Nirdeśa (Identifying the Supreme Object) was first published in Sajjana Toṣaṇī, Vol.2 issue 6 in 1885. This article is in answer to one gentleman inquiring about the position of Brahman, Paramātmā and Bhagavān, wishing to know the ‘Vedāntic siddhānta.’ In response, Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura gives a detailed answer.
Darśana-Śāstra (Philosophical Treatise) was written by Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura in 1895 for Sajjana-Toṣaṇi, Vol.7. Issue 1. In this short article, Bhaktivinoda discusses the link between the Six Darśanas of India and the philosophies of the Ancient Greeks. He also briefly discusses the origins of Egyptian mummification.
This short article, “Brahmacārī Āśrama” was first published in Sajjana Toṣaṇī, Vol. 10, issue 7 in 1899. Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura makes the point that most Vedika scholars in Bengali are contaminated by māyāvāda and there is the necessity for a real brahmacārī āśrama to teach the true meaning of Vedānta.
