Instructions for Engaging in Bhajana of the Moon of Godruma
"Leave your home, full of the miseries of Kali, and worship that Moon of Godruma's forest bowers." Composed by Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura in 1893 at Surabhi Kuñja — the seat of his Nāmahaṭṭa preaching — this twenty-verse Sanskrit song calls the seeker to renounce fleeting material pleasures and worship Gaura, the Moon of Godruma, through the Holy Name.
