Section Three – Guṇa-kīrtana (Kīrtana Glorifying the Lord’s Qualities)
(1)
bahirmukha ha’ye, māyāre bhajiye
saṁsāre hainu rāgī
kṛṣṇa-dayāmaya, prapañce udaya
haila āmāra lāgi
Turning away from Kṛṣṇa, I worshiped māyā. I became attached to this material world, then merciful Kṛṣṇa appeared in this world for my sake.
(2)
(sakhī he) kṛṣṇa-candra, guṇera sāgara
aparādhi-jane, kṛpā vitaraṇe
śodhite nāhi kātara
O sakhi! Kṛṣṇa-candra is an ocean of qualities. He distributes mercy even to offenders. He is not reluctant to purify them.
(3)
saṁsāre āsiyā, prakṛti bhajiẏā
puruṣābhimāne mari
kṛṣṇa dayā kari’, nije avatari’
vaṁśī-rave nīlā hari
Coming into this world, worshiping material nature, I was destroyed by the pride of being the enjoyer. Then merciful Kṛṣṇa descended Himself, and with the sound of His flute, the blue Lord stole away my illusion.
(4)
emane ratane, viśeṣa yatane
bhaja sakhī avirata
vinoda (kedāra) ekhana, śrī-kṛṣṇa-caraṇe
guṇe baddha sadā nata
O friend, with great care and attention, constantly worship this jewel. Now Bhaktivinoda, bound by His qualities, is always bowing at the feet of Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
