In this editorial, Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura speaks about the various devotional achievements in the last year, as well as the obstacles created by envious persons, and then goes on to mention how some persons have created a 'new Gaurāṅga' who has come to harmonise all beliefs.

Vivāda Rahasya Prabandhera Samālocanā (A Critique of the Article 'Vivāda Rahasya') was published in Sajjana Toṣaṇī, Vol 4 Issue 4 in 1892. In this critique, Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura discusses an article in the Caitanya-mata-bodhinī magazine that criticises the position of Śrī Viṣṇupriyā Devī.

Śrī Dayānanda Sarasvatī u Tantra Śāstra (Śrī Dayānanda Sarasvatī and the Tantra Śāstra) was published in Sajjana Toṣaṇi, Vol.1, Issue 1 in 1881. In this unique article, Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Thākura answers a rebuttal against the Tantra Śāstra by Swami Dayānanda Sarasvatī, the founder of the Ārya Samāj, and explains the true necessity of the Tantras Śāstra.
In this brief article, 'Śrī Śrī Jagannāthadevera Mandira (The Temple of Śrī Śrī Jagannāthadeva)', published in Sajjana Toṣaṇi, Vol.4, Issue 2 in 1892, Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Thākura gives a short history of the temple of Jagannātha in Purī. He then goes on to explain the poor condition of the temple premises and requests the rich people of Bengal to generously donate towards the cause.
In Vaiṣṇavera Svarūpa u Taṭastha Lakṣaṇa (The Natural and Marginal Characteristics of a Vaiṣṇava), published in Sajjana Toṣaṇi, Vol.4, Issue 1 in 1892, Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Thākura describes the two types of characteristics found in Vaiṣṇavas. He explains the twenty-six qualities of a Vaiṣṇava and how such qualities, when found in a non-devotee, are useless.
In Māyāvādī Kāhāke Bali? (Who is a Māyāvādī?), published in Sajjana Toṣaṇi, Vol.5, Issue 12 in 1894, Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Thākura explains in detail why māyāvādīs are considered to be offenders to Kṛṣṇa, and why their so-called displays of devotion are useless.
In 'Daśa-mūla Niryāsa (The Essence of the Ten Foundational Principles), published in Sajjana Toṣaṇi, Vol.8, Issue 9 in 1897, Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Thākura outlines in detail the famous ten foundational principles found in the teachings of Śri Caitanya Mahāprabhu.
