Viraha-Gītikā (A Song of Separation) was first published in June 1952 in The Gauḍīya, Vol.3, Issue 5, on the occasion of Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura’s disappearance. In this Bengali song, Śrīla Purī Mahārāja narrates the position and achievements of Ṭhākura Bhaktivinoda, and prays to him for his mercy. This song has been translated into English by Swami B.V. Giri.
Śrīla Bhaktivinoda in Gauḍacala
This article, by Prabhupāda Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura, was first published in The Gauḍīya magazine (Vol.8, Issue 6) on September 14th 1929, commemorating the 91st appearance day of Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura. Sarasvatī Ṭhākura writes about the deplorable condition of Bengal, and the necessity for the Lord to send His dear associate there to purify the people.
