Gītā-mālā

(1)
śrī-rūpa-mañjarī kabe madhura vacane
rādhā-kuṇḍa-mahimā varṇibe saṅgopane

When will Śrī Rūpa Mañjarī, in sweet words and in a secluded place, describe the glories of Rādhā-kuṇḍa?

e caudda-bhuvanopari vaikuṇṭha-nilaya
tad-apekṣā mathurā parama-śreṣṭha haya

“Above these fourteen worlds is the abode of Vaikuṇṭha. Superior even to that is Mathurā, which is supremely excellent.”

mathurā-maṇḍale rāsa-līlā-sthāna yathā
vṛndāvana śreṣṭha ati śuna mama kathā

“Within the district of Mathurā, Vṛndāvana is the most excellent place, for there the rāsa-līlā is performed. Hear these words from me.”

kṛṣṇa-līlā-sthala govardhana śreṣṭhatara
rādhā-kuṇḍa śreṣṭhatama sarva-śakti-dhara

“Among all the places of Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes, Govardhana is still more excellent. And Rādhā-kuṇḍa is the most excellent of all, being the abode of every spiritual potency.”

rādhā-kuṇḍa-mahimā ta’ kariyā śravaṇa
lālāyita ha’ye āmi paḍiba takhana

Hearing the glories of Rādhā-kuṇḍa, I shall become filled with longing and fall down in ecstasy.

sakhīra caraṇe kabe kariba ākuti
sakhī kṛpā kari’ dibe svārasikī-sthiti

When will I earnestly appeal at the feet of a sakhī, and when will that sakhī, showing mercy, bestow upon me my eternal position in svārasikī-bhāva?
