Gītā-mālā

hari he
āmi sei duṣṭa-mati, nā dekhiyā anya-gati
tava pade la’yechi śaraṇa
jānilāma āmi nātha, tumi prabhu jagannātha
āmi tava nitya parijana

O Hari! I am that wicked-minded soul. Seeing no other refuge, I have taken shelter at Your feet. O Lord, I have come to understand that You are Jagannātha, the Lord of the universe, and I am Your eternal servant.

sei dina kabe ha’be, aikāntika-bhāve yabe
nitya-dāsa-bhāva lo’ye āmi
manorathāntara yata, niḥśeṣa kariyā svataḥ
sevibo āmāra nitya-svāmī

When will that day come when, in an exclusive spirit of devotion, I shall embrace the mood of an eternal servant? Then all other desires of the mind will cease of their own accord, and I shall serve my eternal Master.

nirantara sevā-mati, bahibe cittete satī
praśānta haibe ātmā mora
e bhaktivinoda bale, kṛṣṇa-sevā-kutūhale
cira-dina thāki yena bhora

A constant disposition for service will flow within my heart, faithful and steadfast. My soul will become peaceful. Bhaktivinoda says – “May I remain forever filled with eagerness for Kṛṣṇa’s service.”
