dhana jana deha geha kṛṣṇe samarpaṇa
kariyācha śuddha-citte kara smaraṇa
“Having offered wealth, family, body, and household to Kṛṣṇa with a pure heart, you should now simply remember Him in that purified consciousness.”

tabe kena mama suta boli’ kara duḥkha
kṛṣṇa nila nija-jana tāhe tāra sukha
“Then why are you lamenting, ‘my son, my son’? Kṛṣṇa has simply taken His own devotee, and in that lies his true happiness.”
(3)
kṛṣṇa-icchā-mate saba ghaṭaya ghaṭanā
tāhe sukha-duḥkha-jñāna avidyā-kalpanā
“All events occur according to Kṛṣṇa’s will. In that reality, the conception of happiness and distress is only imagination born of ignorance.”
(4)
yāhā icchā kare kṛṣṇa tāi jāna bhāla
tyajiyā āpana icchā chāḍa jañjāla
“Whatever Kṛṣṇa desires, know that alone to be good. Giving up your own separate desires, abandon all entanglement.”
(5)
deya kṛṣṇa neya kṛṣṇa pāle kṛṣṇa sabe
rākhe kṛṣṇa māre kṛṣṇa icchā yāhā habe
“Kṛṣṇa gives, Kṛṣṇa takes; Kṛṣṇa maintains all or destroys all. Everything happens according to His will.”

kṛṣṇa-icchā-viparīta je kare bāsanā
tāra icchā nāhi phale se pāya yātanā
“One who harbours desires contrary to Kṛṣṇa’s will never attains fulfilment; instead, he only obtains suffering.”
(7)
tyaji’ sakala śoka śuna kṛṣṇa-nāma
parama ānanda pābe pūrṇa habe kāma
“Abandon all lamentation and hear the chanting of Kṛṣṇa’s Holy Name. You will attain supreme bliss, and all your desires will be fulfilled.”
(8)
bhaktivinoda māge śrīvāsa-caraṇe
ātma-nivedana-śakti jīvanera maraṇe
“Bhaktivinoda prays at the feet of Śrīvāsa for the power of complete self-surrender, in life and in death.”
