śrīvāse kahena prabhu tuṅhu mora dāsa
tuyā prīte bāndhā āmi jagate prakāśa

Then the Lord spoke to Śrīvāsa, saying, “You are My servant. Bound by your love, I have manifested Myself in this world.”

bhakta-gaṇa senāpati śrīvāsa paṇḍita
jagate ghuṣuka āji tomāra carita

“Śrīvāsa Paṇḍita is the commander of My devotees. Let your glorious character be proclaimed throughout the world today.”

prapañca-kārā-rākhinī māyāra bandhana
tomāra nāhika kabhu dekhuka jagaj-jana

“Let the people of the world see that you are never bound by Māyā, the keeper of this prison-house of material existence.”

dhana jana deha geha āmāre arpiyā
āmāra sevāya sukhe ācha sukhi hana

“You have offered your wealth, family, body, and home unto Me, and thus you live happily, finding your joy in My service.”

mama līlā-puṣṭi lāgi’ tomāra saṁsāra
śikhuka gṛhastha-jana tomāra ācāra

“Your household life exists solely to nourish My pastimes. Let householders learn proper conduct by observing your example.”

tomāra preme baddha āchi āmi nityānanda
āma duṅhe suta jāni’ bhuñjaha ānanda

“Nityānanda and I are bound by your love. Knowing Us to be your own sons, you relish great happiness.”

nitya-tattva suta yāra anitya tanaya
āsakti nā kare sei sṛjane pralaya

“One whose true sons are the eternal reality does not become attached to temporary offspring, who are subject to creation and destruction.”

bhaktite tomāra ṛṇī āmi cira-dina
tomāra sādhu-bhāve tumi khama mora ṛṇa

“I remain forever indebted to your bhakti. By your saintly nature, you graciously excuse that debt.”

śrīvāsera pāya bhaktivinoda kujana
kākuti kariyā māge gaurāṅga-caraṇa

At the feet of Śrīvāsa, the fallen Bhaktivinoda humbly begs for the lotus feet of Śrī Gaurāṅga.
