Gītā-mālā

hari he
tomāra ye śuddha-bhakta, tomāte se anurakta
bhukti mukti tuccha kari’ jāne
vāreka dekhite tava, cid-ākāra-śrī-vaibhava
tṛṇa bali’ anya sukha māne

O Hari! Your pure devotee is attached to You alone. He regards both enjoyment and liberation as insignificant. Having once beheld the glorious opulence of Your spiritual form, he considers all other happiness to be mere straw.

se saba bhaktera saṅge, līlā kara nānā-raṅge
viraha sahite nāhi pāra
kṛpā kari’ akiñcane, dekhāo mahātma-gaṇe
sādhu vinā gati nāhi āra

You perform pastimes in many ways with such devotees, and You cannot tolerate separation from them. Be merciful to this destitute soul and show me those mahātmās, for apart from the sādhus I have no refuge.

se bhakta-caraṇa-dhana, kabe pā’ba darśana
śodhiba āmāra duṣṭa mana
e bhaktivinoda bhaṇe, kṛpā ha’be yata-khaṇe
mahātmāra ha’be darśana

When shall I obtain the sight of that treasure – the feet of the devotees? Then my wicked mind will be purified. Bhaktivinoda says – “When mercy arises, then the vision of the mahātmās will come.”
